So where does this come from? Had they not broken up? What was the last one: "Sonn und Mond", that compilation album from 2009, tracing their long path from fledgling Rocksteady roots to their very own twisted and charming concoction of alpine world dub chanson bliss? Wait, there was another, in 2010, again released on Pingipung, with brassy tunes and the feat of casually putting the dub back into dubstep: "We so horny", as if all the acclaim it was to meet from the serious crowd was just a joke. And then silence. They must have run out of ideas, right? End of the line, eventually, and mission accomplished.

Well, ideas are a dime a dozen. They are not what it's all about. Austrodub, as they once succinctly put it, means total commitment, naivety, and not fearing failure. And nothing else. With a stance like that, you don't run out of ideas. The best come through your door with foreign tongues and good food and an open heart anyway. And when they don't, it's just as well. hey-o-hansen were essentially a duo, and life put many hundred kilometers between them. That's what happened. Michael Wolf had to return to their mutual hometown of Innsbruck, still a painter and now also an art teacher; Helmut Erler stayed in Berlin as a mastering engineer and occasional solo musician. Five years passed.

Now this. What is it?

It is crisp and icy, angular and brittle, mysterious and massive, crystalline and breathing. It is as free and tight as they've ever been, and it will rub you the wrong way for a while. You'll want to play it on 45. You'll wonder where that pull of heavy, empty space is coming from, so raw and different from their earlier ambition towards a smooth and luscious flow. You'll be tempted to call it electroacoustic dub. With rectangles. But it's not about genres. It wasn't about genres in 2010 either, when dubstep ended up serving as the foil. Here, Michael Wolf selected classic riddims as a basis for each of the tracks, to make clear that it's not about composition. Well what is it all about then, after all? We just said it: It's Austrodub. Nearly became the album's title, too.

At home in the mountains, having been a pioneering climber, Wolf would tell you that taking a break is essential when you've exhausted yourself, and that you should then continue at a slow pace. Helmut Erler conceived of an elaborate setup of half-time renderings and microtemporal variation, and brought their 2011 backing-tracks for concerts that never happened to a fresh life. And here they are, molted to the shape of a true monolith. There was no master plan, just a sudden invitation for them to play at a festival in Innsbruck this June. And so there it is, Sno Dub, born from the tides and pressures of passing life, and you're allowed to dance.

multipara for hey ø hansen, April 2016.

Geschraubter, sonisch kriechender Nachhall. Ultralangsaaaamer Kellerdub. That sonic cellar Dub statt »That sonic footwork« (RP Boo). Grandios!
a perfect continuation of this original and explorative form of digi reggae. It's a difficult one to describe, and that's what makes it all the more excellent. Highly recommended.

herler releases 7inch on Pudel Produkte / Pingipung Records. Herler - Pudel Verkafft.

pingipung.de

At a gig at Hamburg's Golden Pudel Club, composer and mastering engineer Helmut Erler learned that a forced sale of the club was imminent, and spontaneously delivered a rhyming couplet about the threat, over subsonic bass and a driving beat: ''Stell Da voa, da Pudl wead vakafft. Und es gibt koan, der da hinlafft,'' which translates roughly to ''Imagine the Pudel will be sold, and nobody goes there.'' This release is a call for this essential venue for electronic and experimental music to live on. Artwork by the Pudel's award-winning designer Alex Solman (C.I.Alex).

hey-ø-hansen remix Springintgut.
PINGIPUNG_38_FRONT_150.jpg
pingipung.de
hey-Ø-hansen participate in the remix Vinyl EP of selected tracks of Springintgut's Album: Where We Need No Map' (Pingipung 2013).

It's a pretty motley set of artists who have put their faders on the cello-heavy Springintgut tracks. Duke Slammer (Bonusrund/ London), hey-Ø-hansen (Pingipung/ Berlin), Peter Presto (Pingipung/ Frankfurt), RSS Disco (Mireia Rec./ Hamburg), Tilman Tausendfreund (Hypercolour/ Hamburg) and Icarus (Leaf Rec/ London) have reworked the tracks which had originally been recorded in Japan and India.

hey-Ø-hansen and Peter Presto kick their Skweee and Dub styles over Springintgut's peculiar cello-meets electronics-sound. RSS Disco and Tilman Tausendfreund then take it to the dancefloor on the flip side.

Some time ago hey-ø-hansen had the opportunity to play a few very good shows with Jamaican Singer Jazzmin Tutum. Later she took some of our riddims for her Dub-Poetry. Finally some of the tracks are out on two CDs

Dub Music is Freedom Music. For me it is the Heartbeat riddim and the One World riddim. It is a music that leads you into other spheres of thought. Spheric Dub Poetry is the poetry I create within electrified music landscapes.

Tja, Superpudel fliegt wieder!

Reviews by falter, de:bug, taz, zeit and more here: heyrec.org/reviews.htm

Surprises are not to be big - above all they are to be pleasant. Last July, hey ø hansen played two gigs in Hamburg, after which the enthusiastic gentlemen of Pingipung asked them to unseal the band's archives and allow them to release a selection from there into your living room. When Helmut and Michael told me about this, I just thought: There you go! Because I've known both band and label for so long. What was happening here was simply bound to happen. Just like when you have two seperate friends in two different cities, and when they meet for the first time, at a party at your's, it turns out they always used to sit next to each other in primary school. Well... in a way it's really just the same situation here. Except for that party at your's, but that's coming.

While undertaking the endeavour to pack the hey ø hansen universe into a good hour, of course Pingipung selected according to their tastes, and with every right - and if you know where Pingipung started school, you can already guess what it'll be: hey ø hansen's very own electro-reggae chansons. Or, as one of the souls of Austrian Radio once termed it, their sing-along dub. That's not the whole story however, for in the band's own words: Just because it says dub doesn't mean it's reggae.

Especially when you look at the whole big wide borderless world of music with the eyes of a child, like hey ø hansen, and then replicate it on the hallway floor, on a shelf, in the bathtub, or on a park lawn. Then you'll find the Eiffel Tower standing among palm trees, on which oranges are growing, and in a piece of peel of these we embark on a trip to Chicago (Ukraine), the cow in mouse format is coming along too, and we'll take something to read, a dictionary, for the beautiful stories inside. And while we're taking a detour via South America (to buy some coffee), this bottle message gets washed up and brings us a doll's radio, sounding old rocksteady classics. No horns around? Then they'll toot with their mouths, it's the will that matters, the melodica is good for an accordion, and if you have a guitar, you must play a solo. And so we got the Pingipung Cafe Orchestra. No later than when you realize that what first sounded like a musical box is a classical harp, however, it becomes clear that chubby-handed toy music is something different. These kids have been at it for a long time. They tidy up their little big world as they think best. They sometimes let the clouds darken the skies, too. They've got friends who command their instruments like weapons. And finally, they control the ultimate killer box, the king of the jungle, the intergalactic star cruiser, with perfect skill - which finally takes us to dub, as it is the core of dub that holds everything together in hey ø hansen: the sound studio as a musical instrument.

So why do people call it Austrodub? Because Helmut Erler and Michael Wolf are from Austria, of course. Because they had been raised to the off-beat of Tyrolian folk music when they met in their hometown of Innsbruck, in a band called Captain Cheops and the Pyramids, that recognized the same off-beat in Ska and Rocksteady. Because Helmut went to Berlin then, Michael somehow following him in advance, and both continued experimenting, on their own as well as together. And as everyone knows, people were playing samplers and sequencers in Berlin, rather than real instruments. Which was good, because it worked. Their four-track tape grew into a professional studio, and every now and then, they took it across the land and onto stages, and its recordings found their way into the ether and across the seven seas.

What is it that makes hey ø hansen's music so special? Is it really that alpine off-beat? Or is it Austrian cuisine - open to all sides, and a knack for the sweet? I think the reason for that is something entirely different. It's due to the fact that two principles are playing cat and mouse here, chasing after each other like sun and moon. It's because the centrifugal forces of artistic cross-grainedness are tearing at the central body of studio production that is up to every trick, because they're keeping the soaring flights of technical legerdemain and the craft of the studio nerd far away from polished standard in the improvisational joy of pre-digital home recording and the avant-garde's urge to break away. It's because they let precise programming and straightforward, tight and focused drumming (they can do that, too) shine their calm light on rich and playful lo-fi details that frolic to their heart's delight, aware of and committed to artistic freedom and independence, and with disdain for coolness. And it's because they develop their songs out of the structural openness and unpredictability of live performance, not out of stylish product ideas, even those that end up going down as well as the evergreens in this collection, and that's how they outlive every change of trend. Their choice of musicians that they integrated into their band time and again over the years provides further evidence for this push for freedom, for the original, the wide world: Simonetta Ginelli's enchanting harp and Gordon Odameteys burning percussion, and currently the peerless Olaf Rupp (guitar) and Kazumi (vocals) - just mentioning those that I know myself, and including those who didn't make it onto the CD. After all, hey ø hansen's cosmic playground doesn't end after this hour. But here is where it opens up. And, as always, you are allowed to dance.

Was macht hey ø hansens Musik so besonders?

Ramblin' man by Hank Williams - covered by 'no horse no rider' and 'hey-o-hansen and ava carrère':
format: 10inch vinyl
label: MKT (medien kunst tirol) - http://www.mkt.at/
release: MKT07
artists: hey-o-hansen, no horse no rider

30 sec prelisten - B1.

Hiram 'Hank' King Williams (September 17, 1923 - January 1, 1953) was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter who has also become an icon of country music and Rock 'n' Roll, and one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century.

His songs have been covered in a range of pop, gospel, and rock styles by Frankie Lane, Mark Lanegan and Isobel Campbell, The Melvins,The Residents, Tom Waits, Slint and many many more - and now by 'no horse no rider' and 'hey-o-hansen and ava carrère'.

While side A by 'no horse no rider' is a brave traditional country style tribute to Hank Williams, side B by 'hey-o-hansen and ava carrère' is a ventured re-interpretation of the song in a very unique style. To our knowledge this is the first version of ramblin' man with a femal vocalist and it is definitely the first reggae/dancehall style version.

I can settle dow-own and be doin just fine
Til I hear an old train rollin down the line
Then I hurry strai-aight home and pack
And if I didnt go, I believe Id blow my stack

hey-o-hansen contribute to CD The Bent Moustache 'Forst'

play 30sec of 'On leaving the World Tonight - hey-o-hansen Version'
Band: http://www.thebentmoustache.com/
Label: http://www.transformeddreams.com/

Indie rock with dub-influences.

Hailing from Manchester, Edinburgh, and Wormerveer, Netherlands, now living in the small city of Krommenie (near Amsterdam), The Bent Moustache members have been busy in the Dutch and British music-scene already for quite some years. They are: Ajay Saggar (ex-Donkey/Dandelion Adventure), Pim Heyne (ex-Donkey/Revenge of the Carrots) and Wilf Plum (ex-Dog Faced Hermans/Donkey). Starting off during the post-punk boom in Northern England/Scotland, Ajay and Wilf moved to The Netherlands to join the politically aware, (post-)punk scene (The Ex etc.) in and around Amsterdam in the late eighties/beginning of the nineties.

Together with Pim they started Donkey, released two full-length albums (in the UK on Guided Missile Records) and were invited to do a John Peel-session in 1995.

After a period of side-projects and jobs as tourmanagers and soundmen the three started The Bent Moustache and released their debut 7'' in January 2006, followed by ''Forst'' in late 2006.

hey-o-hansen did a remix for them with vocals by Ava Carrere.

In 2006 hey-o-hansen released a series of 12inch singles, documenting their musical journey starting from the soundtracks to a yet unwriten Emir Kusturica film stepping into their unique style of Berlin-Afro-Alpin-Dubstep-Killersound completely obliterating any sound system with some maximum badness. This is the cd compilation of the vinyl collectors series.

They were supported by the co-musicians
Wolfang Amadé Kapellari, Gerhard Erler, Samuli Kosminen and Eiríkur Orri from icelands múm and Olaf Rupp (audiosemantics, emanem, meta records, fmp, kitty-yo, and others).
Voices by Mariano Rajoy (leader of the opposition and of the conservative Popular Party in Spain), Mustapha Nabli (regional chief economist and director of social and economic development in the World Bank's Middle East and North Africa region) and Dirk von Lowtzow (Tocotronic, Phantom/Ghost).

AND it never would have happened without the excellent league of berlin based remixers
thaddeus herrmann (city centre offices, herrmann&kleine, de:bug), harzkrafthof (lovelite), karl marx stadt (mental int., Kool.pop, lux nigra and others), dj maxximus (Tresor, Ambush, Schematic, Warp, Digital Hardcore, Mental Groove and others), multipara (lux nigra).

All you dubstep fans out there, listen up to an incredible 75 minutes mixture of so many different styles, mixed like a well thought out pot of austrian soup with dumplings. A truly intriguing and rewarding piece of dancefloor science. Just peerless material, Pull up operator!

"A Journey Into Berlin's Afro-Alpin-Dubstep-Killersound" lautet der Untertitel dieses Albums von hey o hansen, das die Maxis des letzten Jahres kompiliert, und besser könnte der Claim auch nicht sein. Breite, dichte Tracks vereinen die Strömungen, die uns alle haben tanzen lassen im letzten Jahr. Wir verweisen auf die Besprechungen der einzelnen Maxis und freuen uns, dass man das nun auch in einem Rutsch perfekt durchhören kann. Killer eben. (debug)

''It all started back in the mists of time (well 2005 actually) when Hey-O-Hansen initiated what would become a six-part singles collection that sought to fully explore their numerous influences - pressing onto vinyl something which could happily skip from hard-boiled techno one minute, through to Alpine folk the next, all without perspiration. With the likes of Karl Marx Stadt, Thaddeus Herrmann, DJ Maxximus, Mum's Eirikur Orri and Samuli Kosminen and Olaf Rupp and Dirk von Lowtzow all adding their weight to proceedings, it soon becomes clear that there was very little chance 'the06singles' would be anything other than essential. Which it is. A hybrid of styles and sounds, Hey-O-Hansen are the type of collective for whom the word 'eclectic' could have been minted - as they plunder the annals for dubstep, techno, reggae, ambient, folk and psych, then peel off the best bits before reassembling it as a fully functioning and utterly unique entity. Bringing together all six singles, this handy CD distillation will come as a boon both to those who missed out first time round or have seen their vinyl develop RTS through time under the stylus. Kicking proceedings into touch, opening track 'Moon' is a gleeful refraction of genre-bustin' excess that was originally conceived as the soundtrack to an as yet unwritten Emir Kusturica film. Jacked to the peak of fitness, 'Moon' is also included in its Thaddi clothed mix - wherein some minimal Chicago flavours are delivered via the Alps for warped nourishment. Next up is 'Gogogo', a fizzing plate of dub, tech, horns and shimmering grooves (bundled here with a startling mix from Berlin protégé 'Harzkrafthof), before 'Fire' burns down the house with a knob-on Karl Marx Stadt take that explores similar territory to Andy Stott's 'Choke'. Elsewhere, 'Fly Home' is 140bpm of sheer joy, 'Babylon System' deploys sub-bass galore, whilst 'Abraxas' marks the end through some wonk-step madness that really shouldn't work as well as it does... Hey you guys!''

''Completing the Hey-O-Hansen six pack, this last installment sees Múm's Eiríkur Orri pitching in on space trumpet and Dirk von Lowtzow (Tocotronic / Phantom/Ghost) with vocals - creating something that sounds not unlike dubstep as viewed through a fairground hall of mirrors... Apparently crafted as an answer to Kode 9's '9 Samurai' (take that with a pinch of salt mind...), 'Abraxas' is a cerebral chunk of wonky-step that features lyrics from Carl Gustav Jungs' 1916 work 'Septem Sermones ad Mortuos' atop rumbling subs and bad-boy beats of the clinical kind. If that all sounds a bit intimidating, don't fear - because amongst all this bwopping beats is the same attention to detail and emotional warmth that has made their name, with 'Abraxas' representing the kind of dubstep you could take home to meet your mum. Busy enough to warrant full resolution, the composition never seems cluttered - as the horns weave their magic around Lowtzow's intoned vocals. Joined on the back by 'Abraxas Version' (wherein it's made sparser and even more chunky), this is a fitting end to a much lauded series. Hey, ho!''

hey-o-hansen continue single series with heyrec 14 'babylon system'

buy at a-musik.com
vinyl and data available at boomkat.com

side a: HEY-O-HANSEN - BABYLON SYSTEM - length: 10:36 - vocals, african and electronic beats, lolo subbass, afro alpine dubstep.

side b: MULTIPARA - BABYLON SYSTEM remix - length: 5:46 - dub techno

With this 12inch hey-o-hansen are moving beyond dubstep style. Starting with a funeral brass band from ghana followed by super lo basslines and percussion explosions. ''fire blast babylon system'' - there is nothing more to say.

multipara is probably best known as the man behind the label lux nigra, which put out about two dozen releases of all sorts of post-techno electronic music since 1998. during the past ten years, he's also been involved in a few other musical activities - mostly as a dj, as a host of various regular nights in his hometown berlin, and as a writer (since 2003 regularly for debug magazine). occasionally, he produces music, preferably remixes, and plays live. for hey-o-hansen, he gave their original track an extra rave-hop kick of his own flavour, complete with bonus west-african cross-beat interlude.
www.luxnigra.de

''The fifth part in Hey-O-Hansen's '2006 Singles Collection', 'Babylon System' continues to carve the Berlin signature across the peppered Alpine variations that so characterise Hey Rec's sound. With a lead track that features waves of vocals, African rhythms, electronic beats, and sub-bass galore, 'Babylon System' pretty much assembles itself - fusing a Ghanaian funeral brass band to dubstep schematics in a style which will have you stuck in the groove well past the run-out. On the back is a remix from the man Multipara - best known for his output on Lux Nigra and journalistic skills - wherein rave-hop makes its presence felt through some carbonated styles which cross cut the West African base with a topping of potent chrome beats. Eclectic, loud and proud, 'Babylon System' is further reason to make space in your collection for an 'Alpine Dubstep' section...''

side b: DJ MAXXIMUS - FLY HOME RMX - length: 8:29 - dubstep

With this 12inch hey-o-hansen are moving fastly towards the dubstep style. The track has the atmosphere of a perfect idyll on a tyrolean alp and the frightening sound of a capella dance steps recorded at the last dance of berlin 'komische oper' (opera ballet) dancers before the ballet was closed. A heartbreaking acoustic guitar solo improvised by Olaf Rupp (www.audiosemantics.de, releases on emanem, meta records, musica genara, grob, happy zloty, fmp, sieben 7.3, kitty-yo and others) Voice samples by Mariano Rajoy (leader of the opposition and of the conservative Popular Party in Spain) and Mustapha Nabli (regional chief economist and director of social and economic development in the World Bank's Middle East and North Africa region) point at what is most important to say when you are a afro-alpine dub-band in Europe while ten thousands of Africans are on their way: ''It is almost impossible to imigrate into the European Community from African Countries (Rajoy). The biggest pressure is now (Nabli).''

Dj Maxximus aka DIN-ST has been producing bass music for 10 years, Influenced by early Hardcore and Drumnbass in 91, remixing NWA for Kid606, producing with Peaches and dropping the first grimy hip hop album on Digital Hardcore before 2000. He is also part of Fever (with Paul P.M./Puppetmastaz), Robotnics Crossing (german-japanese punk band from 96), Firewire (with Carl from Atari Teenage Riot) & Eradicator (hardcore project with Patric Catani, now Candi Hank/Puppetmastaz) and had releases with label like Tresor, Ambush and Schematic, Infected by Uk-garage sound in 2000, Dj Maxximus started with his mate Something J to produce their own variation of 2-step /garage and ended up getting a deal on Warp records in 2001 with Mercedes Bentley vs Versace Armani. He stayed for a year in Londons Hackney area and created music with ultra-low twisted basslines during the rise of what would become later Grime. Back in Berlin with this new sound, he started playing with artists like Dizzee Rascal, TTC, Mark One, D Double E, Team Shadetek, The Bug and Soom-T and released a first e.p. Trust me for Mental Groove. Playing Live Shows and DJ-sets in Europe, Israel, Japan & America, DJ Maxximus is now ready to Bass the World!!!

...single of the week at boomkat.com

''One of the most consistently interesting Berlin labels operating from the D+M/Hardwax axis, heyrec come correct this week with a heavyweight slice of steppers techno. Flying in at a rockin' 140bpm with nifty half-step tendencies, the track develops into layers of lush latin guitars and swirling synth pads with joyful rasta cries for some goodtime party biznizz. Longtime dubcore fiend and proprietor of FWD>>'s Berlin franchise DJ Maxximus does a grand remix job on the flip with some overt dubsteppin references but still sticking with the propulsive techno-step patterns, switching between 4/4 and half-step but never requiring the patience needed with yer typical standard dubstep riddims. A truly intriguing and rewarding piece of dancefloor science, get your snaffle on.''

''The alpine dub crew comes again in a late summer style and fashion. Following up 'Moon' and 'Gogogo', two chart-toppers in these here parts, comes this excellent third volume in the Hey singles series. It's a timely and refreshing blend, as the Hey boys join forces with Karl Marx Stadt - Hey rocking the top-side with some adulterated bashment, Karl Marx Stadt chopping up the place with a dubstep beamer, straight in your face. Featuring band fellow sir lord gordon odametey tackling the fiery subject matter ina fashion somewhere close to Super Cat, an unnamed ice-maiden on chorus duties and a rhythm seemingly updated from Cutty Ranks late eighties - early nineties raggamuffin take on the 'lambada', you've a new and sweetly twisted chapter in the remarkable Hey discography. Only....flip the twelve and all you dubstep fans out there, listen up to the 'extinguisher' mix - from apparent calm, Karl Marx Stadt musters forth a well of deep bass, if you slept on andy stott's awesome 'choke' ten inch plate and regretted it, then this could go some distance as a fitting recompense. Berlin flipping the alpine dub in yet another direction, and then halfway through the tune, completely obliterating any sound system with some maximum badness. Pull up operator!''

''The new Hey-o-Hansen record shows sounds starting to toughen up for our alpine berliner heroes, following a rave reception accorded to their last single "Moon". It features an incredible mixture of so many different styles, mixing those styles like a well thought out pot of austrian soup with dumplings. GOGOGO should freshen even the most jaded pair of ears, there is definitely something special about the melody running throughout. Touted as afro alpine dub techno with vocals, alp horns, african percussion and a steady beat, you may well be surprised by the gleaming, shimmering, mountain railway groove, ideal soundtrack material for those summer trips into the mountains. the B side sees Harzkrafthof metalically kick it off with spacious berlin sounds - something about this music has a magical quality you just don't commonly find elsewhere. Excellent stuff, no doubt.''

buy at a-musik.com
vinyl and data available at boomkat.com

a 12inch single with an instrumental track by hey-o-hansen and a remix by thaddeus herrmann.

''Hey and Hansen have always been a priceless Berlin oddity. The project has its tentacles clawed into some of the cities best known underground establishments with long-term connections and afiliations alongside numerous labels, the Hard Wax axis, Iceland's ecclectic Mum collective and yet their music has resolutely singled itself out from the crowd. For the last 8 years Hey & Hansen have delicately developed their love of alpine folk, accordions and dub traditions into a hybrid of gypsy accoustics and effervescent electronic tinkerings. The results have never been anything less than captivating, with even hardened techno casualties unable to resist its originality and endless charm. This awesome release unearths new track 'Moon' - another refracting gem of multi-generic deviations that sound like the soundtrack to an as yet unwriten Emir Kusturica film - just peerless material.

The flipside, however, is what will totally wreck you Thaddi evolving the track into an unlikely blend of minimal jacking Chicago acid and Alpine folk, sort of like Mr Fingers with accordions!! Honestly, you'll have never heard anything quite like this and we implore you all to buy it immediately. Killer!!!''

heyrec catalogue available as mp3 for download

www.yoosic.com

as it is about time to be available in the ever growing .mp3 market we are happy to announce that we found a nice home for our music in the net at yoosic.com - a small and enthousiastic company in dresden/germany. they do not collect as much as they can but really care about the music they offer - just like you would expect from every good record shop.

WELL, THAT WAS IN 2005 - IN THE MEANTIME (2008) WE HAVE TO SAY THAT THE YOOSIC PROJECT DID NOT WORK OUT - WE ARE REALLY SORRY...THEY NEVER PAY THE LABELS...

After recording ''Dreams never die'' with Austrian musician HEY in Berlin a long time ago, remixing the song with MÙM in their Icelandic lighthouse, writing and drawing colourful graphic novels with Franco-Scottish duo METAPHROG in Glasgow, LOUIS and his bird-like companion FC (the protagonists of a graphic novel with music, released on fatcat) now continue their dream journey to visualist trio ASSI:METRI in Hasselt, Belgium.

jan 2005:

http://www.audio1.org/

bad.

http://www.streetforward.com/

good.

the ones have dark robots crawl the net by day and night looking for music. they dig, they collect. they open a trendy and cool looking website (www.jetgroove.com) and sell what they can. they do not ask, they do not share. the labels never see anything of the money. a few of them go and see their lawyers instead. the wind blows too strong for jetgroove, the site has to close. but it soon reopens (www.audio1.org) and continues. others invest a lot of work in a nice idea and make it grow. they offer contracts and stay in touch with the labels. they also sell music, the site they make (www.streetforward.com) looks perfect, too. however, selling music is something different for them. they care about music and they have a different idea of how to sell it over the net, too: they do not sell mp3.s but burn customized cds and send it in a letter. this is nice, we thought. and we thought that it would be a good thing to make those heyrec products available at streetforward that you could never buy anywhere else on cd.

here is the direct link to heyrec at streetforward. until 31st of march you can get your customized CD at a discounted price. enter the voucher-code: KARMA2005 and save euro 2.50 excl. VAT on the regular CD price. promotional price: euro 12.46 net.
